As you can see, my desk is currently in a pretty chaotic state! Over the past month I have started working, taking photos of people when they come to visit Santa. I am absolutely loving it, it is not the type of photography that I'm into at all but getting to talk to people, help to create excitement for the children and giving people memories to keep forever is something I'm really enjoying. It's getting busier by the day and I have been trying to make the most of my days off by spending them at my desk.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been fascinated and completely in love with terrariums. If you follow me on Instagram you will know I've been doing a lot of stuff with paper lately, especially recycled Frankie magazines. Today I finished this paper terrarium I've been working on and can't wait to put it in a frame. It combines recycled paper with paper I have painted using water colours.

I then got an idea to try and create a different kind of paper terrarium and these two beauts slowly came to life with the help of some patience and a good pair of tweezers.

I tried so hard to get a decent photo that captured the detail in all the little pieces but photographing glass without the right kind of setup isn't easy, so this was the best I could do for now. I was so happy with how these turned out and I really want to try my hand at more intricate paper terrarium creations soon.

I've also been experimenting and creating some mountain scapes. The scapes (pictured above and below) are titled 'When my mind leaves my body' and to me have a real space/ galaxy / whole other world feel, which I love.

Izzy has been showing more and more interest in art lately, she sets up her ikea table next to my desk and we create together, it's my favourite thing in the world to do. Today we did a little flamingo practice. We spent time drawing heads, bodies and legs and then Izzy had a go drawing it all together and adding paint. Listening to her "wow's" as she paints and watches the colours move and mix makes me smile because it's the exact same thing I love about watercolours.

I hope you all had wonderful weekends XX
